3rd September 2024 – Benetech and Easypress have released a joint statement to announce that Easypress’ Atomik platform has become the first to join Benetech’s Approved Publishing Tools (BAPT) program. Publishing platform, known commercially as Atomik ePublisher, declares its production of accessibility-compliant eBooks that meet Benetech’s approved Globally Certified Accessible (GCA) standards.

Atomik ePublisher was first demonstrated at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2008 and has since become the benchmark for producing high-quality eBooks.

In preparation for the enforcement of the European Accessibility Act 2025 (EAA), Easypress began enhancing its Atomik eBook production platform to deliver accessibility-compliant EPUB3 files, with Benetech’s encouragement, more than two years ago.

Chief Executive Officer of Easypress, James Macfarlane, stated:
